Thing # 6

I really enjoyed the trading cards. Those could be used with students creating one on themselves, or on a subject. You could then print them (if on a subject) and use it as a review with the students. They have to describe the event and if right, they get the card. It's very user friendly and easy to make.

Thing # 5

I'm trying again to download picture. Here I go. Yea! I was successful.

Thing # 5

Flickr would be great to use in the classroom. As I was reading about it I came up with several ideas on how to use it. One thing that could be done is for the students to use it as a way to introduce themselves the their classmates. We always have them do something on paper "All About Me" as a way of getting to know them. Now I can use Flickr. Of course the most logical way this could be used is with the content I would be teaching. Social Studies is one of the subjects that I teach and the picture has to do with it. I can't seem to up load the image I chose. I seem to have the worst luck when uploading pictures to my blog. I still haven't been able to get my Avatar to show up. Be assured, I am not giving up. I will continue to work on downloading my flickr picture and get my avatar to show.

Thing #4

My blog has been registered with Library2Play. This is probably the easiest one to do.

Thing #3 Blog & Avatar

It was easy setting up my new blog because I had one that I used with my students last year. My main problem is with my avatar. I got into it easily and customized it to my liking. The trouble is with having it show up on my blog. Maybe it's my computer and isn't letting the image show up or maybe I did something wrong. I won't know for sure until I am able to get to another computer to check it out.

Thing #2: 71/2 Habits of Learning

The easiest habit for me is taking responsibility for my own learning. I've been doing that since I was a child. My parents wouldn't let me blame the teachers or anyone else if I wasn't successful in learning what was taught. The hardest habit for me is setting goals. I wasn't taught to set goals when I was younger, but am getting better about it since I have to set one each year. However, I don't go back to the goals throughout the year to check my progress. I always to do it at the end, when it's too late to make changes.
